In addition, to support mainstream streaming services like Netflix, we need to obtain HDCP certification. What To Connect
All devices above should support DisplayPort over USB-C. To check if your phone is compatible with Rokid Max Glasses, please refer to the direct connection compatible list.
Rokid Max glasses work with almost any game console. Steam Deck supports direct connection, for most other game consoles, you could connect via the HDMI Adapter.
If your device supports neither DisplayPort over USB-C nor HDIM output but supports Screen Casting, you could use the Wireless Adapter to cast your screen to the Rokid Max.

The Perfect AR Glasses

The Rokid Max with its larger screen with a 50 degree FOV and the HDCP support are probably the main reasons for upgrading from the Rokid Air; the attachable and removable blackout cover is a bonus. When my Rokid Max arrived I was pleasantly surprised that the screen was so much more clearer and of course larger, and more vivid than the Rokid Air. The text from my MacBook is super clear and relatively sharp with only just a slight blur along the edges; I can actually work all day with my MacBook connected to the Rokid Max glasses; reading webpages and watching movies from Netflix and Disney Plus. I have an inter-pupillary distance (IPD) of 72mm which is probably the max IPD distance of a Rokid Max which seems to accommodates my wider placement of my eyes a lot better than the Rokid Air. The HDCP support allows you to stream Netflix or Disney Plus on my iPad pro, iPad mini 6th gen through USB-C port or my MacBook through the HDMI to USB-C. None of the streaming was previously possible with the Rokid Air. This is very important to me as my retirement work day consists of reading webpages and streaming movies. oh yeah, did I forget to mention that the whole reason that I bought the Rokid Max was to play Tears of the Kingdom on Switch with the Rokid Hub.!!

Max Your Experience

Rokid MAX has redefined my lifestyle.

I literally carry these everywhere for an on-the-go cinema experience.

I no longer need a TV and I can use that space more efficiently.

I feel highly immersed everytime I reach out and put on my glasses for multimedia.

Well done ROKID!

amazing glasses

These augmented reality glasses are so cool. They offer such a clear image and make even watching videos so much more fun. I haven't learned everything there is to know about these yet but the options are endless. They can be used during gaming, and also just cruising the internet. They are super comfortable and surprisingly enough I haven't got any motion sickness of them like so many other ar type glasses. I definitely think these are worth the money and they make a very unique gift idea.

Great Quality and Comfortable

I got these glasses for my son and they have been great! They feel super high tech and are really fun. The glasses are great quality and super durable. They have held up perfectly with my son using them often. The glasses were clearly well made and they work really well. They are also pretty lightweight so they are really comfortable to wear and they are very portable. They do not feel too bulky. My son likes to bring them everywhere with us because they are such a great size for travel. These glasses create high quality images that look really nice. And the speakers on the glasses are really good and produce very clear sound. My son really loves gaming with these glasses and he occasionally uses them while watching movies as well. They create a very unique and cool gaming/movie watching experience for him. The glasses are pretty simple to use and my son was able to figure it all out pretty quickly. Now he uses them like a pro! I am very impressed with the quality of these glasses. They were definitely a great choice and I am so glad that I picked them up for my son!

Good!

I didn't know anything about Rokid and was skeptical this technology could really deliver a decent viewing experience but I have to admit, these glasses are AWESOME! Since I got them I’ve been using them for everything from computer work to watching movies. If you’re unfamiliar with this technology, there are basically two tiny little downward-facing screens up inside the glasses that reflect onto an angled piece of glass that sits directly in front of your eyes. Since it’s so close to your eyes it gives the illusion that there’s a giant screen floating in the air right in front of you.

Exactly what I was looking for

I bought these for my Steam Deck because I need glasses and its hard for me to see on high graphic games. I have to say, these things work perfect for me! Just a plug and play. Super comfortable. But the view is better than I hoped! Im more of a consule gamer. Now I can play PC games anywhere.

A must-have!

Rokid Air glasses worked seamlessly with the Galaxy S20.
I use the app for 3d videos. I've been super happy since I got AR to work and 3d films look amazing.
I thought I'd share my thoughts on this device and hopefully this will inspire a few of you to try a few new things.

I belong to the iPhone family

I belong to the iPhone family. I want to share since I got my Rokid Air glasses and what I tend to do with them these days. My perspective is from an iOS device user.
I’m able to watch YouTube. I also used it on a flight and that got much positive attention from the people around me.
I can cast from my iPhone to the glasses through the wireless adapter. but I tried to add a 4K fire tv stick and a Homatics Q dongle but couldn’t set it up.
I have the FireStick (4k Max model). This opened me up to not needing my iOS device at all so I could watch all my TV/Movies via my Plex/Netflix etc services directly onto the Rokid Air glasses and not care about what iOS or Android device I had.

Hi there, thanks for the feedback! We have some community members sharing the Fire Stick Setup on our Fb Group. Feel free to check them out!

Well, I give this unit 5 out of 5

Well, I really liked this unit, With this device a mouse/keyboard/portable dock you basically have a really mobile system you can do multiple things on.
Further more, to test this unit, I went ahead and bought the S21 Ultra 512 gb 5G and worked via USB C. I download the rokid air app, it can work.
Note that if you have a Samsung with Dex, it defaults to a different screen, so it won't mirror your phone. After some tinkering I figured out that if I turn off Dex, then I'll get the screen mirroring that I wanted.
Anyway, I will still give 5 out of 5. I have tested with PC/Laptop/Surface/Macbook Pro intel/M/ipad pro M/ipad mini/Switch/PS4n5/XBOX/ Steam Deck/samsung 8 ultra/Linux and they all work.

Heating up

The glasses are very effective after the trial, and the degree of myopia can also be adjusted. It is very friendly to users with low degrees, so there is no need to wear glasses. Unfortunately, the external sound is a bit loud. It would be even better if you could learn how to transmit sound through the periosteum.
Picture quality is not bad for experimental technology ! I would probably buy version 2 when it comes out.

Almost perfect - needs adjustment for pupillary distance

Enabling: Fantastic tech for continuous video learning while doing busy work in a safe environment. I wish there were more see-through headset display options, but I don't know any like this.

The AR stuff is not compelling, haven't tried. The display works without extra software, whether connected directly via USB to phone or laptop, or using the Goovis for Mira-casting or AirPlay.

Blur: as with others I see a bright and sharp image near the center, but blurring near the edges. The blurring can be reduced if I push the glasses firmly against my face, closer to my eyes; but that would be uncomfortable for any length of time, and occupies hands. If I move the glasses left or right those edges come into sharp focus as well. So it seems if they were made wider or (the pupillary distance) adjustable by maybe 5mm-10mm, I would be able to have a full screen experience without having to (a) move desktop windows closer to the center, or to (b) push the glasses left or right to read at edges. Which is a real shame because these have enabled so much freedom while moving about home - a safe and familiar space - cleaning, organizing, and doing so much while watching videos and taking voice notes both with my Mac via AirPlay and my old LG G8 phone via Miracast. (The G8 happens to have a working Android Desktop Mode this happily displays, so I can have my phone projecting a desktop while it's screen does something else; or nothing, in pocket). I may keep these for that functionality, but would quickly trade or upgrade for a sharper image near the edges.

I am happy with the purchase.

I brought this in hopes to play some games and connect to a PC to do work stuff without the need of a monitor and TV.
- When it works properly, the picture quality is amazing
- It's easy to plug and play on game consoles (you have to make sure you have a power source for the HDMI adapter but all game consoles have a USB port) and phones (that support display out; some phones like the Google Pixel phones will not work)... a million times better than the Dream Glass I backed a year or two ago on Kickstarter....
- To add something to the above point, there is NO input lag unlike the Dream Glass...
In addition, For the Apple devices, this glasses support Mac book and iPad pro, which can be directly connected. At the same time, bluetooth headphones can be used, and noise-cancelling bluetooth headphones such as airpod pro or airpord max can be used on the plane. The screen display effect is quite satisfactory. There will be light transmission in the picture in particularly bright places, but this should not be a problem with the glasses. It is more friendly to Samsung devices, and I look forward to adding support for Apple as soon as possible.

Definitely worth trying this excellent product.

The highlight of this product is that it is easy to wear and has high convenience, but the function of AR has not been fully exerted. At present, there are relatively few applications, a little disappointing. but the point is, I bought it to play games at home, and there is no problem with the test connection to the NS, especially in winter when I wear glasses and lie down to play, and the infinite handle is placed in the quilt to operate.
If you don't pursue playing games with glasses outdoors, buy a HDMI adapter and add the white USB power cable in the picture. The same connection method is used to connect a desktop computer to other hosts. But if you want to use it outdoors, you still need to connect a connector with a power bank. It is hoped that the next generation of products can solve the problem, and at the same time, I hope it will also bring out the functions of AR reality enhancement. At this price and such a convenient device, It perfectly matches the description and my expectation. It is easy to use and makes me really comfortable. I had a great experience using this product. Definitely worth trying this excellent product.

They are great but you need to be technically adept to get full potential

I am really pleased with these AR glasses. I got the wireless version. I am an airline pilot and travel is part of my life. I got these to watch TV and movies while commuting.
Setup wasn't as straight forward as I would have like. iPad support is almost non existent. I wanted to just watch movies off my iPad from the onboard Wi-Fi but DRM issues makes this nearly impossible.
So, I went to my android phone and it's a game changer. I've been able to stream nearly everything I want. Netflix, AppleTV, Hulu, HBOMax, etc. Youtube looks great. Just about any streaming service will work through the phone. The view is near perfect. My eyesight is just short of the extreme range of focus. But I put on a pair of reading glasses underneath and now it's perfect with no eye strain. While sitting reserve I did a marathon session last week of six hours of TV and movies I needed to catch up on. I was able to see my surroundings through the glasses and still watch TV clearly.
There are some AR games to play that I really haven't been able to play with yet. Downloading seems to be extremely slow. I think you can sideload android program so there may be a way to get other AR programs running that are not available in the store.
I was able to use the browser to go to some of my normal websites. No issues there. Streaming video on the web worked great too.
One concerning issue is I notice my phone gets warm when I have directly connected to the Rokid. But so far, it's the only way I know to run AR apps.
Fortunately, I didn't buy then for gaming, just watching media. So, for me this worked out really well.
I have some concerns about how well they will hold up over the long term but so far, I am happy with the purchase.

I have not been using Rokid adapter (Goovis Wireless Cast) until now because I cannot see any subscription videos like Netflix and Disney Plus with it and picture quality is not so good even with FTTH 1.0Gbps connection at my home.
Then I finally found a good way to use this Goovis adapter with Rokid Air. Recently I bought aero bike and I am riding it for 20 minutes per day at least. I thought Rokid is good to see bike-riding video while I am exercising. Unfortunately with wires, I need to connect too many pieces of device (iPhone, Lightening to HDMI converter, HDMI to USB converter and battery with two additional wires). I cannot carry all of them with me for my workout.
But with Goovis cast, I just need to use this one. I can put my Goovis Cast in the pocket during my workout. Youtube videos stop a short time occasionally and picture quality is not ideal but it is acceptable.

Got permission from the wife to set up my bike trainer in the bedroom for me to test out the Rokid Air as a kind of virtual bike trainer. Still got to set up the fan to simulate the wind etc.
First thing I did was search YouTube for bike videos near my local area and found a few of my local walking track so I’ll try this out later in the week.
The below is one I’ll try first (FYI I’m from Melbourne, Australia. Time point 26m28s is the street where I live 😄). Search for ones near your own home. You will be surprised at how many people will have posted something on it.

Samsung Galaxy users, disable Dex. I originally rated a 4 out of 10 but am surprised and give it an 8 out of 10 now. Hopefully more apps will make the experience better. Dex actually is very convenient, if you want to lock your phone and maybe use other wireless controls... your phone will rest in your left pocket.

It's cool. Carrying a tiny pc like the gpd pocket 2 and playing Left 4 Dead 2 using the Rokid Air. My only problem is my nose is kinda flat. I have to keep adjusting the nose support. It keeps falling a bit so the very top of the screen moves out of view.
